Hugó Scheiber (1873-1950) - The Jazz Band, c' 1930 years

He was a student of Henrik Papp at the School of Design. He travelled to Berlin, America and Rome. In his early period, he painted impressionistic plein air pictures and futuristic expressionistic pictures in his later period. Exhibitions: 1919 Vienna by Hevesy Later; Berlin, London, Rome, La Paz, New York. Scheiber participated in the famous meeting of the Futurists in Rome in 1933 Hugo Scheiber works were included in the following exhibitions: The Nell Walden Collection, the Kunsthaus, Zurich, 1945, Kunsthaus Aarau, 1957, Kunstmuseum, Bern 1967: Collection of the Société Anonyme, Yale University Art Gallery, New Haven, 1950: Paris-Berlin 1900-1930,Centre Georges Pompidou, Paris, 1978: L'art en Hongrie, 1905-1930, Musée d'Art et l'Industrie, St. Etienne, 1980, and Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville, Paris, 1981. Scheiber's work was represented in the exhibition, Futurismo and Futurismi, at the Palazzo Grassi in Venice in 1986.
