Emőd, Aurél (1887-1958)

He was a student of János Vaszary at the Budapest Academy of Fine Arts.
Besides his master, his encounter with the Italian Novacento had a great impact on the formation of his style. He worked as an art teacher in Budapest.

From 1925 he exhibited regularly. Between 1933 and 1935 he was a member of the Rome-based Collegium Hungaricum, as well as a core member of the Association of New Artists and a secretary of the latter for several years.

He went on study trips to Italy, France and Germany.
